Summary Now offering a $1,500 sign on bonus for Medical Assistant / MOS new hires! Effective April 1, 2024 and expires December 1, 2024.
Applicable only for MOS positions in the Centers of Excellence and Maryland Family Care practices, of which this role applies to.
Provides general Medical Administrative Assistant assistance to Oncology and Hematology physicians and advanced practice practitioners in an outpatient setting within the hospital.
In addition, the staff member demonstrates competency in applying these principles when providing individualized care to specific patients.
The staff member will be required to travel to different office locations. Every employee is expected to support the goals and mission of Mercy Medical Center, in particular the commitment to providing all patients easy access to high quality care, service and value.
Requirements EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE Education and Work Experience : High School Diploma or GED A minimum of one year experience, preferrably in a medical office setting.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS License Requirements : N / A Certification Requirements : CPR-preferred Age Specific Care Provided For : Adolescents Adults Geriatrics Knowledge, Skills and Abilities : Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following : Microsoft Word, Power Point, Excel Microsoft Outlook Meditech (if applicable to position) Epic (if applicable to position) Performance Manager / NetLearning Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner.
Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.
Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public.
Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
