- Helps oversee daily office logistics such as greeting all patients and visitors. The primary task is to process new employees and assisting where needed with resident/patient matters.

In Coordination with the manager and medical technicians oversees the new employee medical processing requirements for Stella Maris to include:
- Compliance with COMAR regulations related to pre-employment medical requirements.
- Familiarity with vaccine regulations for long term care, home care and hospice.
- Vaccine administration, tracking etc.
- Reviewing the medical pre-employment paperwork.
- Filing of employee paperwork.
- Supporting the fit testing.
- Documenting employee on-boarding requirements in EMR (EPIC).
- Oversees tracking of vaccines and supports business lines when regulatory surveys occur (i.e. long-term care, hospice, homecare, etc.).
- Brings a focused, calming influence to crisis situations and assists with the direction of the appropriate action.
- Encourages and supports others to work cooperatively to accomplish tasks by engaging them in problem solving techniques to achieve solutions that lead to improvement opportunities.
- Assist with Employee Health – provide first aide care for any injured employees, determine if a higher level of care is needed, in conjunction with their department head/manager. Provide assistance for any employees who become ill on the job.
- Attends meetings with human resources, infection control, policy review and at times quality insurance as a liaison between medical services and the organization representing information and data related to vaccine tracking and other COMAR related medical environments.
- Periodically, but not frequently, steps in to support the day to day operations when the Medical Services Manager is off or unavailable.
- Ensures all employ file maintenance is compliant, private and well organized operationally and for regulatory survey compliance.
