Overview
Job Title: Assocaite, Quality Engineer
Job Location: Williamsport, PA
This role is pivotal in ensuring product quality and compliance throughout the production process. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for conducting production training programs and performing supplier audits to maintain high-quality standards and improve operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
Production Training:
- Develop, implement, and coordinate quality training programs for production staff.
- Conduct regular training sessions to educate employees on quality standards, processes, and best practices.
- Evaluate the effectiveness of training programs and make improvements as necessary.
- Collaborate with production managers to identify training needs and address skill gaps.
Supplier Auditing:
- Conduct audits of suppliers to ensure adherence to company quality standards and specifications.
- Evaluate supplier performance and compliance with contractual agreements.
- Prepare and present audit findings, working collaboratively with suppliers to implement corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation of audit results and follow up on the resolution of identified issues.
Quality Assurance:
- Assist in the development and implementation of quality control plans and procedures.
- Monitor production processes to ensure adherence to quality standards and specifications.
- Analyze quality data and trends to identify areas for improvement.
- Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action planning for quality issues.
Collaboration and Communication:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including production, engineering, and supply chain, to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Communicate quality-related issues and updates to management and other stakeholders.
Compliance and Standards:
- Stay updated on industry regulations, standards, and best practices related to quality engineering.
- Ensure compliance with internal and external quality standards, including ISO certifications.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field.
- Proven experience in quality engineering, production training, and supplier auditing.
- Strong understanding of quality management systems and methodologies (e.g., AS9100, Six Sigma, RCCA).
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in quality tools and software (e.g., Minitab, SPC tools).
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Certification in quality management (e.g., ASQ CQE, ASQ CQA, or equivalent).
- Experience in manufacturing, electronics
