Prototype Build Engineer - Commodity Team Lead

We are looking for motivated and passionate Engineer to join our Engine System team of Prototype Build Engineering (PBE). This role as a PBE – commodity team lead is to support critical projects ensuring these builds will be on time with no interruption of the material availability, while achieving the highest level of build quality. The ideal candidate should show strong passion for Vehicles and problem-solving skills with utmost leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Leading team of Engineers in the assigned area of Responsibility for all builds
• Train, Coach and support the Prototype engineers for components and System level
• Coordinate with cross function teams of BICEE areas and provide support at build sites
• Offer hands on Root cause analysis support at pilot plant and garages during all build phases
• Oversee and ensure the build BOM requirements are met and submitted in timely manner
• Lead efforts for mule level designs and open issues resolution meetings
• Provide and maintain Build required documentation, Trackers/BOM/Process sheets
  
  

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor is Science Degree in Engineering or related degree field
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in propulsion and/or engine systems engineering
• Demonstrated familiarity with general automotive knowledge at systems, components, and related technologies
• Ability to provide, present and explain at all levels of management
• Excellent and demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
• Knowledge of Microsoft outlook, Word, Power Point. Excel etc. and including CAD SW (Team Center/NX)
  
  

Preferred Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in Engineering
• Vehicle Manufacturing and Launch experience at OEM
• Supplier design, development, and manufacturing experience
