Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our team. The ideal candidate will work under the supervision of licensed occupational therapists to provide therapeutic interventions that help patients improve their ability to perform daily activities. This role is essential in supporting patients across various settings, including geriatrics, pediatrics, outpatient, and acute care environments.
Duties
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans as directed by occupational therapists.
- Conduct therapeutic activities that promote physical and mental well-being.
- Monitor patient progress and report changes or concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Educate patients and their families on care plans and home exercises to enhance recovery.
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient care and progress in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Support patients in both inpatient and home health settings, adapting approaches based on individual needs.
Experience
Candidates should possess a strong background in occupational therapy principles, with preferred experience in the following areas:

Knowledge of physiology and anatomy is essential for understanding patient conditions and developing effective treatment strategies.
