The IT Network Administrator is responsible for maintaining and optimizing the on-premises network environment, ensuring seamless connectivity between multiple office locations, and managing a cloud infrastructure within Microsoft 365. This role involves monitoring network performance, troubleshooting high-impact escalations, and implementing security measures to protect data and systems. The ideal candidate will be experienced in tackling various hardware and software problems, addressing root causes to complex or recurring network issues, and implementing iterative improvements to ensure technology investments are kept updated and secure.
Role Required Experience:
- Experience: 6 years in Information Technology or a related field, with 3 years in a Tier 3 or higher capacity.
- Network Infrastructure: Experience with network infrastructure setup, including Cat5e/6, ISP WAN, IPSec Firewall, PoE, managed switch with VLAN tagging, UPS, RAID, WEAP Enterprise WLAN and WAPs
- Software Environment: Experience with HyperV management and Windows Server environments (single Forest), including Active Directory with Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, DFS, NPS, 11S, and Entra Connect (formerly AADSync) for 365.
- Microsoft 365: Experience with Microsoft 365 Admin Centers, including Exchange Online, Teams Phone, lntune, Compliance, and Defender. Familiarity with PowerShell for complex lookups.
- Additional Tools: Experience with PowerAutomate, SQL, and PowerBI is recommended.
- Platform Administration: Administration experience with platforms such as Dell (Tech Direct, DRAC, OpenManage, and LifeCycle Controller), Ubiquiti (Hosted Controller), Veeam (VBR, VB365), and ZScaler (ZIA, ZPA).
