You- You’re a detail-oriented construction professional who loves crunching numbers, analyzing plans, and presenting accurate, competitive bids.
- You can assemble conceptual estimates and project proposals.
- You are well connected within the construction industry
- You have a knack for spotting potential cost risks or value-added opportunities before they become issues.
- You enjoy working closely with Project Managers and subcontractors, ensuring every scope is covered thoroughly.

- Prepare Detailed Estimates: Develop precise cost estimates for labor, materials, subcontractors, and equipment from the schematic design phase to final completion.
- Manage the Bid Process: Coordinate with subcontractors, gather quotes, and ensure each project scope is fully addressed.
- Collaborate with Project Teams: Work hand-in-hand with Project Managers to align budgets and timelines, ensuring a smooth transition once bids are won.
- Value Engineering: Identify cost-saving strategies without sacrificing quality or Stellar’s commitment to going the extra mile for clients.
- Documentation & Reporting: Maintain organized records of estimates, assumptions, and clarifications for transparency and future reference.
- Experience: At least 5 years of commercial construction estimating experience.
- No Sponsorship Available: Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Location: Position is based in Sarasota, Florida. Applicants must be local or willing to relocate.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
- Technical Proficiency: Skilled with estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam) and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Communication & Detail Orientation: Adept at breaking down complex cost data, presenting clear justifications, and partnering with internal and external stakeholders.
