Benefits and Compensation Specialist

Summary Objective
The Benefits and Compensation Specialist is responsible for administrating and monitoring compensation and wellness programs, developing strategies and communications, and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. This role assists supervisors and management with implementing health and welfare plans and serves as the primary point of contact between the company and benefit program vendors.
Essential Functions
- Administer and monitor Global compensation, health and wellness programs, including developing strategies and communications.
- Assist in implementing health and welfare plans, including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Assess and ensure compliance with IRS and DOL reporting requirements.
- Act as the primary contact between the company and benefit program vendors.
- Issue annual wage statements and process payrolls and wage adjustments.
- Develop and deliver communications regarding compensation and benefits programs, including plan initiations, enrollments, changes, and terminations.
- Develop, implement, and administer the organization's compensation and benefit programs.
- Coordinate and administer HR functions to ensure equitable compensation and the best benefits within the company’s resources.
- Communicate with employees regarding compensation and benefit-related issues.
- Administer employee benefit programs, potentially including group medical, dental, vision, prescription, disability, group life, AD&D, EAP, 401(k), and flexible spending account programs. Iraq : Kidnap and Ransom and Life Insurance
- Research and advise on benefit program enhancements.
- Participate in contract negotiations and renewals.
- Ensure compliance with state and federal regulatory agencies.
- Process enrollments, COBRA, terminations, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, QDROs, QMCSOs, distributions, hardships, and compliance testing.
- Manage open enrollment and program implementation processes.
- Oversee reconciliation and preparation of all billings related to benefit plans.
- Implement and monitor adherence to compensation and employee benefit policies, procedures, and practices.
- Oversee the workers' compensation program, including claims management, compliance, and employee support.

Work Location
This position will work out of our Main Office in Jacksonville, FL. This position is not approved for telecommuting or working remotely.
Work Environment
Most work is performed in an office environment. Some trips to the Manufacturing Campuses for benefit and compensation related items are required.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit. The employee frequently is required to walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand. The employee must frequently lift or move objects up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 : 00 p.m.

Anticipated up to 0% travel for this position. Some occasional local day travel may also be necessary.
