Summary / Objective
The Sales Manager - Services will create and build client relationships while sponsoring interaction within the Services department to obtain projects. This role assists in developing and facilitating the proposal process, both internally and externally, for specific clients including budget and pricing development, proposal writing, contract negotiations and client presentations.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for identifying, developing, negotiating and closing sales opportunities.
- Lead proposal planning, compilation, execution and handover.
- Analyze and determine client needs, recommends service(s) best suited for clients, and prepares and presents proposals to sell services that address those needs.
- Assist in formulating standard / routine proposal guidelines and templates in conjunction with business development team and various functional groups.
- Develop a budget and price estimate using standard models for approval.
- Understand market (energy, data center, district cooling) conditions and have the ability to communicate Stellar Energy's value in each of those markets.
- Draft the narrative that ties the project components together and package and aid in presenting the proposal to the client.
- Communicate back to internal groups the outcome of the negotiations / proposals focusing on conveying the expectations set forth for each group, i.e. clear details, critical timeframes and expectations.
- Collaborate with the operations and finance groups to evaluate project performance and to recommend refinements and improvements of all financial components of proposals.
- Track and report on the status of all proposal components - both in process and submitted.
- Establish and maintain on-going client relationships with the various parties to anticipate and resolve potential problems.
- Lead Bid No Bid and Risk Review meetings.
- Prepare for ISO 9001 and other audits.

Position Type / Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel
This position requires flexibility to travel within the United States nationally and possible internationally. Travel time is approximately 75%.
