Apprentice

The Mechanical Apprentice will assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial compressors. This role requires a hands-on individual with a strong mechanical aptitude and a keen interest in learning and developing skills in the field. The apprentice will work closely with experienced technicians to troubleshoot issues, perform routine inspections, and ensure equipment reliability.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Assist in the maintenance, repair, and installation of industrial compressors
• Work closely with experienced technicians to troubleshoot issues
• Perform routine inspections to ensure equipment reliability
• Develop mechanical skills and knowledge through hands-on experience
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Document maintenance activities and report any irregularities
• Participate in training programs and workshops to enhance technical skills
• Other duties as assigned

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Effective communication and teamwork skills
• Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and technologies

Education/Experience:

• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Enrollment in or completion of a mechanical apprenticeship program is preferred
• Basic understanding of mechanical systems and tools
• Previous hands-on experience in a mechanical or technical role is an asset

Travel Requirements:

• Ability to travel occasionally to attend meetings, trainings, and events.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to sit, stand, and walk for long periods of time.
• Ability to use a computer, phone, printer, scanner, and other office equipment.
• Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 25 pounds of files, documents, and materials.
