Description
The Warehouse Lead is responsible for the efficient day-to-day management of warehouse operations, including all aspects of the warehouse day-to-day tasks such as receiving, stocking, shipping, inventory management and logistics while increasing efficiency and maintaining accuracy. This position requires leadership, team building, attention to detail, innovation, and a commitment to continual learning.
Summary of Key Responsibilities :
More specifically, it is the responsibility of the Warehouse Lead to :
- Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the warehouse staff :
Supervise and assist in training employees in all aspects of the warehouse
Manage schedules to allow appropriate coverage at all timesAssist the Customer Experience Manager with annual performance reviews and employee evaluationsMaintain a work environment that encourages training and continual learning for all team membersActively provide recommendations for improvements to management as well as employeesMaintain a clean, safe, organized, and efficient Stellar warehouse and distribution area :Manage the flow of all goods in and out of the warehouse in the most efficient manner possible
Provide an efficient, cost-effective delivery system that meets or exceeds customer expectationsIdentify errors and work with the Warehouse Manager / Customer Experience Manager to implement policy or procedure changes to eliminated themPerform all warehouse and distribution core functions including but not limited to :Accurately and efficiently pick, pack, and process customer orders
Understand basic ERP (P21) order entry functions
Use the P21 system and WWMS (Wireless Warehouse Management Solution) to accurately pick customer orders and transfersPack orders properly for shipping with appropriate paperwork and labelingFollow all customer guidelines and procedures as it pertains to their ordersAccurately prepare and ship orders using P21 and other logistic systemsAccurately receive, put away and cycle count inventory :Understand basic P21 PO entry function
Accurately record receipt of PO and transfer itemsAccurately put away stock in assigned warehouse locationsPerform accurate and timely cycle countsMaintain adequate maintenance of all warehouse and distribution equipment, but not limited to :Forklift
Delivery vehiclesUPS scaleHand truckConduct yourself as a responsible Stellar employeeDisplay a consistent positive, can-do attitude in a fast paced environment

High school diploma or equivalentExperience
