Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced Advanced Controls Engineer with expertise in Honeywell Control Systems or Siemens Control Systems to design, develop, and optimize industrial automation and process control systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing PLC, DCS, SCADA, and advanced control strategies to improve operational efficiency, safety, and reliability across various industrial applications.
Key Responsibilities:
Design & Develop Control Systems:
- Configure and program Honeywell (Experion PKS, TDC 3000, HC900, Safety Manager) or Siemens (PCS 7, TIA Portal, S7-/1500) control systems.
- Develop and optimize PLC, DCS, and SCADA architectures for industrial automation.
- Implement PID loop tuning, advanced process control (APC), and optimization algorithms for improved process performance.
System Integration & Commissioning:
- Perform system integration of automation and control systems with third-party devices such as sensors, actuators, and HMIs.
- Conduct FAT (Factory Acceptance Testing), SAT (Site Acceptance Testing), and commissioning of control systems.
- Troubleshoot and optimize control loops, field devices, and industrial networks (e.g., Modbus, Profibus, Ethernet/IP).
Support & Maintenance:
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for control system failures, alarms, and process disruptions.
- Conduct preventive and predictive maintenance for PLC, DCS, and SCADA systems.
- Develop and maintain control system documentation, including P&IDs, wiring diagrams, and functional design specifications.
Collaboration & Compliance:
- Work closely with operations, process engineers, and IT teams to ensure seamless integration of control solutions.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations (ISA, IEC 61511, NFPA, OSHA, etc.).
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians on control system programming, troubleshooting, and best practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation, or a related field.
- 6 years of experience in control system design, programming, and maintenance.
- Proficiency in Honeywell DCS/PLC (Experion PKS, TDC 3000, Safety Manager, HC900) or Siemens PCS7, TIA Portal, WinCC, S7-/1500.
- Experience in SCADA/HMI configuration (Wonderware, GE iFIX, Honeywell Experion, Siemens WinCC).
- Hands-on experience with industrial communication protocols (Modbus, Profibus, OPC, Ethernet/IP).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimization and automation.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity practices in industrial control systems (ICS/OT security) is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Oil & Gas, Power Plants, Manufacturing, or Pharmaceuticals.
- Knowledge of Industrial IoT (IIoT), Industry 4.0, and cloud-based automation solutions.
- Hands-on experience with Functional Safety (SIL analysis, SIS design).
- Certification in Honeywell or Siemens automation platforms (e.g., Honeywell Certified Engineer, Siemens Certified Programmer).
