JOB DESCRIPTION
Job Summary:
This role as a Maintenance manager is responsible for assuring maintenance work is performed safely while meeting quality standards and staying within budget and determined timelines. Duties include managing the maintenance department ensuring teams’ workload is prioritized properly to have optimal performance.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
- Assure maintenance work is performed safely while meeting quality standards and staying within budget and determined timelines.
· Manage maintenance team to ensure they are working on the correct priority items in a safe and quality manner.
· Develop all maintenance technicians’ core competencies.
- Monitor and sustain OSHA compliant operation of plant equipment and systems.
- Serve as the team’s technical subject-matter expert and a resource for technical escalation.
· Identify enhancement opportunities and assist in developing them across the enterprise through innovation and automation.
· Participate in equipment capital requests and commissioning.
- Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful results.
- Engage with senior managers regularly, reporting on project status, activities, and achievements.
· Collaborate with Safety, Quality, and Operations to find fail safe systems and increase productivity.
· Identify potential issues and implement solutions proactively. Take Immediate action to address breakdowns and other suddenly developed conditions. Schedule and work with outside contractors as necessary.
- Manage CMMS to ensure coordination of all aspects of preventive, corrective, and planned maintenance scheduling.
- Responsible for development of facility maintenance planning, scheduling preventative, predictive and condition-based monitoring, and work execution to achieve the highest level of plant productivity and minimal mechanical downtime.
- Responsible for development and implementation of cost reduction opportunities within the department and throughout the facility in general
- Set department objectives/KPIs and review ongoing performance of direct reports.
- Maintain and update operating and training manuals for the maintenance department.
· Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
· Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work overtime
· High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in electrical or relevant field will be a plus
· Proven experience as maintenance mechanic in food and beverage industry with 20 plus years of experience
· Ability to report to work and on time, as scheduled.
· Other duties may be assigned.

Shifts:
Flexibility to cover all shifts during Production hours.
Working Conditions and Physical Demands:
· Occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, including wet and/or humid conditions, and heat and cold.
· The noise level in the warehouse environment is usually moderate and quiet in the office.
· Near moving mechanical parts and/or machinery and occasionally exposed to burn hazards.
· Exposed to protected and unprotected heights, which requires the use of a personal fall protection system (harness/lifeline).
· Occasionally exposed to vibration and fumes or airborne particles which will require the use of personal protective equipment including respirators; flame retardant clothing; self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA), etc.
- Frequently sit, stand, or walk for a minimum of 8-hour shifts, including walking long distances and on uneven ground
- Frequently climb stairs and ladders, balance and occasionally stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and maneuver in awkward positions
- Frequently lift objects of up to 25 - 50 pounds in weight and carry objects of up to 25 – 50 pounds in weight. Occasionally the employee will have to push or pull objects of up to 25 pounds in weight
- Talk & hear; use hands & fingers; handle & feel; and able to reach with hands and arms extensively
- Vision requirements for this position include close vision, color vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus
