Job Description:
As a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic at Stellar Snacks, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of electrical systems, mechanical components, and programming logic controllers (PLCs). You will be responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various machinery to minimize downtime and optimize production efficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Read and comprehend electrical schematics and drawings.
- Troubleshoot and maintain AC & DC circuits, electrical devices, and instrumentation.
- Perform preventive maintenance on pumps, motors, gearboxes, etc.
- Utilize fabrication and welding skills/certifications as needed.
- Maintain and troubleshoot programmable logic controllers (PLCs), specifically Allen-Bradley.
- Troubleshoot operator interfaces, including programming and Ethernet communication networking.
- Install, repair, maintain, and troubleshoot variable frequency drives (VFDs).
- Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair motor control centers (MCCs) and circuit protection devices.
- Utilize test equipment effectively and safely.
- Perform calibration using appropriate standards and tools.
- Proficiently use volt/ohm/amp meters (multimeters) for diagnostics.
- Apply programming and troubleshooting techniques to electrical/electronic systems.
- Utilize personal computers with Microsoft operating systems for documentation and communication.
- Adhere to Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures to ensure safety during maintenance activities.
Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
- Experience in troubleshooting and maintaining industrial machinery.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and schematics.
- Welding and fabrication skills/certifications preferred.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), particularly Allen-Bradley.
- Knowledge of variable frequency drives (VFDs) and motor control centers (MCCs).
- Ability to use test equipment and calibration standards effectively.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical degree or certification preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role.
