Tailor/Seamstress

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Seamstress to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for fashion and garment construction, with the ability to create high-quality clothing and alterations. This role requires proficiency in using sewing machines and a strong understanding of customer service to ensure client satisfaction.

Responsibilities

• Operate sewing machines and other equipment to construct garments according to specifications.
• Perform alterations on existing garments, ensuring proper fit and finish.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide recommendations for fabric, style, and design.
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring all tools and materials are properly stored.
• Conduct quality checks on finished products to ensure they meet company standards.
• Keep accurate records of work completed, including time spent on each project.
• Assist in inventory management of fabrics, threads, and other supplies needed for garment construction.

Skills

• Proficient in sewing techniques and garment construction methods.
• Experience operating various types of sewing machines.
• Strong customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients and address their needs.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to garment fitting.
• Knowledge of fashion retail trends is a plus.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
