Stellar is seeking a Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Developer to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. The primary role of the VDC Developer is to ensure the successful integration of VDC technology into the project execution process. The VDC Developer role is an advanced‐level position in the VDC group focusing on the development of VDC technology and related processes while providing solutions to project related issues. The VDC Developer ensures a successful implementation by establishing sound procedures and standards for design and construction teams.
Responsibilities:
- Provide leadership and guidance in BIM / VDC technology development.
- Work with VDC and IT staff in development of VDC standards and 3D CAD tools.
- Implement VDC technologies on construction projects to include BIM models.
- Assist project teams with design and pre-construction services, establish / implement VDC procedures and techniques to assure timely modeling / shop drawing approval.
- Advise and assist project teams with process and methods per company standards.
- Monitor the modeling process to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within allotted budget.
- Lead the adoption of VDC tools and processes as directed.
- Keep up with industry trends as it is related to VDC, software, and technology.
- Assign development activities to VDC technicians.
- Develop training material and conduct VDC training including software and procedures for Stellar staff.
- Complete other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate’s degree in related field.
- Advanced Revit user with 8 years of experience.
- Working knowledge of BIM / VDC with 5 years of related experience.
- Demonstrate extensive knowledge of required software (AutoCAD, Navisworks, etc.).
- Functional knowledge of MS Office products.
