We are recruiting for a Senior Developer- Application Support Engineer to join our client's team in a long term contract (with potential for FTE), hybrid role in Dallas, TX or Miramar, FL. This role will develop, enhance and support in-house software applications or extensions to meet business requirements and business objectives. This can include taking technical specifications and developing an application or integration of data between applications, testing, as well as completing the appropriate technical documentation. Responsibilities: Develop and deploy Enhancements/Bug fixes by creating service packs Monitor the interfaces and investigate the files and tickets if there are any issues related to the application Monitor the application and incidents, troubleshoot and provide root cause to the development team Drives the implementation and adherence to incident, problem, and change management, early detection, automation processes Monitor daily/monthly planned production activities Provide regular communications to stakeholders on service impacts, planned change and risk mitigation Provide support and engagement with projects to enable the delivery of fast, quality change Collaborate with cross functional teams Participate in on-call rotation for one week every two weeks Requirements: Bachelor's Degree or a combination of work experience and education 4 years of experience in developing and supporting production applications 4 years of experience in SQL (Postgres, Duck DB, Redshift) 4 years of experience monitoring applications and incidents, troubleshooting and providing root cause to the development team Must have cloud computing skills - AWS S3, REST API's, Kubernetes container, and Parquet files Experience in programming languages Python and Rust Advanced Excel skills would be an advantage for data analysis Knowledge on network products and protocols including DNS, load balancers, IP, SSO would be an advantage Ability to participate in on-call rotation for one week every two weeks
