About the job
Our client is currently seeking a Buyer for our Purchasing Department. The Buyer will report to the Purchasing Manager. This position will assist and take on project leadership in the efficient and effective procurement of goods and services for a multi-site organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Resolve discrepancies on invoicing, receiving, and pricing issues. Input purchase orders into the Purchasing ERP system.
- Compile and issue monthly reports as required.
- Investigate and evaluate data on new and existing orders.
- Focus on supplier development and cultivate a partnership with key suppliers.
- Monitor and maintain supplier performance metrics.
- Resolve discrepancies with the supplier (i.e. back orders,pricing late deliveries, or incorrect deliveries).
- Expedite critically needed Service / Repair orders.
- Monitor order status, assure deliveries, and follow-up with suppliers to ensure smooth operations. Review open orders for impact on schedules and resolve problems.
