Job Description:
- Interrogate, analyze, comprehend, and interpret various Engineering Drawings, Models, Bills of Materials, Technical Specifications, Quality Documents, and departmental procedures as necessary to perform assigned work.
- Provide MCAD operational models and 2D drawings for manufacturing process planning sequences as required.
- Provide process liaison support for manufacturing operations when MCAD models with 2D drawings exist as required.
- Develops, creates, and maintains tooling/fixture definitions for manufacturing operations for all media types, including MCAD and manual legacy designs.
- Executes creation and maintenance of CAM programs and operator instructions for Numerical Controlled equipment.
- Responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining Loft MCAD models, flat patterns, and associated digital tooling programs.
- Demonstrates working knowledge of NC Programming, Loft, Engineering, Tool Design, Manufacturing, and Planning processes and procedures.
- Skilled in concepts related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
- Supports producibility assessments when requested.
- Maintains records and schedules of assigned work.
- Meets established company cost control standards, schedules, and quality requirements to maintain market competitiveness.
- Provides technical assistance to procurement and suppliers as determined by management.
- Executes strong communication skills, both verbal and written, required to communicate and interact between internal and external customers.
- Applies extensive aircraft manufacturing knowledge and is prepared to train, direct, instruct, mentor, and validate Production Engineering work.
- Required to attend training and complete competency-based testing as required by management to remain current with technological advancements.
Qualifications:
- Educational Requirements:
- Four (4) years of college or eight (8) years of experience in the aircraft industry.
- Demonstrated capability to adequately perform essential functions and responsibilities related to the application of GD&T/Aerospace tolerances.
