Job Description :
A direct client is seeking a highly skilled Senior Network / DNS Engineer with expertise in BlueCat DNS to join our team. This role will focus on managing, optimizing, and securing enterprise DNS infrastructure while ensuring high availability and performance. The ideal candidate will have deep experience with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions, particularly within the BlueCat platform, along with a strong background in network engineering.
Responsibilities :
Design, implement, and manage enterprise DNS, DHCP, and IPAM solutions with a primary focus on BlueCat.
Optimize DNS infrastructure for performance, security, and high availability.
Support, troubleshoot, and resolve complex DNS-related network issues.
Collaborate with network, security, and cloud teams to ensure seamless integration and policy compliance.
Implement DNS security best practices, including DNSSEC, filtering, and threat intelligence integrations.
Maintain and enhance DNS automation and scripting for improved efficiency (PowerShell, Python, or similar).
Lead migrations, upgrades, and expansions of the BlueCat DNS environment.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and operational teams.
Document configurations, processes, and best practices for DNS and network infrastructure.
Qualifications :
5 years of hands-on experience with DNS, DHCP, and IPAM (DDI) solutions, specifically BlueCat.
Strong knowledge of network protocols (TCP / IP, BGP, OSPF, Anycast, etc.).
Experience working in large-scale enterprise or cloud-based environments.
Proficiency in network security best practices related to DNS.
Experience with automation and scripting (PowerShell, Python, Ansible, etc.).
Familiarity with load balancing, firewalls, proxies, and cloud networking is a plus.
Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work in fast-paced, mission-critical environments.
Excellent communication skills and experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
