McConway and Torley is looking for a new Shipping Supervisor for our plant in Lawrenceville. As the Shipping Supervisor , you will be responsible for leading and managing all activities related to the shipping department, ensuring the efficient movement of goods and materials to meet customer needs. You will supervise a team of material handlers, ensuring that products are shipped in a timely, safe, and cost-effective manner. This position requires leadership, problem-solving, and organizational skills to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and production goals.

What You’ll Do :

• Supervising, train, and lead a team of material handlers to ensure efficient shipping and handling of all products
• Coordinating daily shipping schedules and workflow to meet production and customer delivery timelines
• Overseeing the proper packaging and labeling of materials and finished goods, ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements
• Ensuring the correct and efficient use of shipping equipment, including forklifts and other handling machinery
• Monitoring and maintain inventory levels of shipping supplies, and ensure that materials are stored and organized correctly
• Ensuring that shipments are prepared and dispatched according to company policies and customer specifications.
• Review and verify shipping documentation for accuracy, including bills of lading, packing lists, and shipping labels.
• Maintaining safety standards and enforce proper handling and shipping procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to safety protocols
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve any issues related to the shipping process
• Continuously improving shipping processes to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.
