Role Overview
We're looking for a self-motivated, organized Field Service Technician to join our growing team. This role involves valve repair services, including teardown, repair, assembly, calibration, and diagnostics of safety relief valves, actuators, and automation equipment, ensuring all safety standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Field Service Operations: Ensure successful field operations, repair PRVs/SRVs under NYNEs VR Program, and make decisions to meet ASME Code and NBIC requirements. Assist with rigging, scaffolding, welding, electrical, and machining as needed.
- Equipment and Tooling: Manage field equipment, tooling, consumables, and parts. Maintain trucks, trailers, and equipment, and recommend improvements for efficiency and safety.
- Valve Repair: Conduct evaluations, disassembly, repairs, and testing of relief/control valves and actuators. Document findings and actions with photos and videos. Perform surface preparation, painting, and shipping.
- Documentation: Complete all required service and repair documentation in real-time, including work orders, evaluation reports, diagnostic reports, and inventory management.
Qualifications
- Associates degree in Mechanical or equivalent experience.
- 6 years of related experience
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and overtime.
- Experience with warehouse equipment and lifting procedures.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to learn quickly.
- Proficiency in Microsoft 365 and ability to adapt to new software.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.
Must be currently authorized to work in the United States.
