EMPLOYEE POSITION TITLE EVENT DESIGNER

POSITION TYPE W2 – HOURLY EFFECTIVE DATE

The Event Designer at Stem Event Design helps create unique experiences through creative design, planning, and facilitation of events. This role is pivotal in creating tailored and memorable events for our clients and is responsible for the following skills and activities across weddings, showers, corporate parties and other special events:

Mandatory Skills & Job Requirements
 Must pass pre-employment drug test
 Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent
 Authorization to work in the United States of America
 Ability to read and write fluently in the English language
 Possession of a driver’s license valid within the State of Michigan
 Ability to lift forty (40) pounds and climb up and down ladders
 Prior floral and/or event design experience is strongly desired

General Duties & Job Requirements
 Facilitate and assist meetings with prospective and existing clients
 Design and prepare samples and event décor ideas for client review
 Creative consideration of live floral, plant life and décor items based on client
 Create estimates and counts of arrangements and décor items for events
 Staging and organizing of décor and inventory that will be used to support events
 Creative design and assembly of bouquets, centerpieces, décor, and other arrangements
 Design, placement and coordination of event arrangements, bouquets and décor on event day
 Support take-down of events, return of inventory, and warehouse cleanup/organization as required
 Ability to take input from client and crew and communicate in a respectful and collaborative manner
 Willingness to learn a variety of design and arrangement techniques for a variety of décor options
 Ability to take technical direction and communicate in a respectful and collaborative manner
 Other duties and job functions/requirements as assigned

Common Events & Meetings
The event designer supports creative direction of live floral, plants and décor for the following events:
Weddings, showers, mitzvahs, birthdays, holiday parties, corporate events, proms/homecomings, private parties, and holiday decorating. The Event Designer will meet with clients, both in an assistive capacity with the owner and individually, to help create their desired moment and bring their ideas to life through sample arrangements of live floral and décor. The role requires an individual with a strong capacity to carry conversation with a variety of clients while showing confident creativity.

Employment Position Description & Compensation Plan

EMPLOYEE POSITION TITLE EVENT DESIGNER

POSITION TYPE W2 – HOURLY EFFECTIVE DATE

BASE COMPENSATION
Hourly wages of $TBD per hour paid bi-weekly for 26 pay periods per calendar year for regular hours. Overtime will be paid for hours worked greater than 40 in the same calendar week (Monday – Sunday) at a rate of 1.5 times the employee’s base hourly rate.
This wage amount will be reviewed annually on or around the anniversary of the hire date of the employee to be adjusted based on national cost of living and inflation data.

VARIABLE COMPENSATION
The employee will be eligible for the following variable compensation, in addition to base hourly wages, in accordance with the terms below:

Event Take Down Compensation
For each event take down the employee performs, a flat fee per event will be paid in addition to hourly wages. The employee will receive the take down payment per event, regardless of the number of events in a night. For example, if take downs are performed for two events in a single night, and the take down rate was $75.00 for each event, the employee will receive $150.00. The take down event compensation will be set for each event, generally conforming to the following rate schedule, which may be adjusted at the discretion of the Company.

Small Events $75.00 USD Regular Events $ 150-200 USD Large Events $ 200 USD

Event Sales Compensation
For each event sold by the employee, for which they also manage the planning and setup of the event, a bonus will be paid in addition to hourly wages. The employee will receive the bonus for each event sold. Bonus payments will be made monthly, on or before the 15th calendar day of the month, as a separate payment from hourly wages, for events which completed in the prior month. The Event Sales compensation will be paid according to the following schedule: DISCLOSED IN OFFER LETTER
COMPENSATION TERMS

Wages and variable compensation will be paid in accordance with company policy. Employee must be employed on the day of any variable payment issuance to receive compensation. Compensation plan must be signed by the employee to receive payment. Any changes to the above compensation plan or underlying reports for such calculations must be approved by the Company.
