What are the responsibilities and job description for the Technical Project Manager position at Stem IT?
R&D division of a Financial SaaS conglomerate is looking to hire a Technical Project Manager in Mclean, Virginia(hybrid with 1 day onsite a week). This person will lead/oversee software development teams, work alongside product stakeholders, helping flesh out requirements. The ideal candidate will be adept: running Kanban/Jira/Asana and scrum projects for fast moving software solutions. As a note, this is a contract position with potential to convert to full-time after 1 year.
Targeted skills:
- 5 years experience as Project Manager or similiar
- Bachelors degree in related field
- Working knowledge of JIRA, Asana, Kanban or similiar tools.
- Strong knowledge of Agile best practices and methods
- Experience with spring planning, running standups, and maximizing efficiency for product backlogs
- Background providing product roadmaps specifically for software teams
- Scrum Alliance CSM or CSP certification or PMI's Agile Certified Professional (ACP)
- Collaborative go-getter
Desired skills:
- Masters Degree in relevant field
- Agile Coaching experience
- Experience or technical familiarity in the design and creation of API
- Able to apply and implement advanced principles, theories, and concepts, and contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas
- Previous experience as developer
- Prior work in fully hosted AWS environment
