Position: Enrichment Program Manager II
Reports to: Executive Director of Education
Location: Hybrid schedule, work from home and office (Must live in Greater Seattle Area by date of hire)
Position type: full time, exempt
Salary: $65,000 - $75,000
Benefits: 23 days paid time off, 11 paid holidays, and a flexible, family-friendly schedule. There is a week-long closure from December 25th through January 1st. Medical, retirement, dental, with SPIN covering 90% of premium.

The Enrichment Program Manager II facilitates enrichment programming (SPIN Enrich) across SPIN. They will be integrated into the SPIN network with frequent opportunities to engage with staff, partners, and stakeholders to facilitate instruction, develop curricula, and ensure proper data collection and reporting.
SPIN Enrich offers programming in partnership with schools and community partners and out of our new makerspace and lab at the Renton Technical College Annex. SPIN Enrich teaches STEM concepts in supportive learning environments, focused on culturally relevant instruction. Sessions are hands-on allowing students to experience and learn from cutting-edge equipment and technology used throughout the STEM industry.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Partnership Development (25%)
- Assist EDs in the facilitation of strategic planning and the development of partnerships with educational and community partners across King County
- Help administer SPIN Enrich within school districts, community-based partners, independent consultants, and other stakeholders contributing to the continual improvement of outcomes for BIPOC students
- Oversee and implement partnerships including the development of scope of work, budgets, and work plans for contracted services and approving requests, handling paperwork, and performing day-to-day administrative tasks
- Communicate with persons outside the organization, representing the organization to schools, the public, government, and other external sources.
People Management (25%)
- Support school- and partner-based instructors and lead monthly meetings, ongoing professional development, and management of program services delivered to students and families by instructors.
- Support recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of primary and supplemental staff including school-based coordinators, tutors, summer staff, and more.
- Manage, review and support professional development for SPIN Enrich staff
Data and Evaluation (20%)
- Collaborate with other staff and provide needed reporting materials to SPIN and to our funding partners.
- Oversee the evaluation of SPIN Enrich activities in partnership with team and funders to determine effectiveness and efficiency and contribute to continuous improvement
- Plan, direct and monitor the development, maintenance, and modification of policies, procedures, and services with all applicable stakeholders including student and family surveys.
- Serve as SPIN lead in the Youth Program Quality Assurance (YPQA) process to include administering and submitting assessments.
Curriculum Development (15%)
- Plan and contribute to curricular development alongside ED of Education
- Troubleshoot and implement problem solving strategies for equipment and classroom challenges.
- Manage inventory and deployment of equipment across programs
Other (15%)
- Fill in for instructors as needed
- Attend weekly and bi-weekly staff and programs team meetings
- Attend regularly scheduled 1:1 with EDs
- Attend necessary partner meetings and trainings
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR:
- Certificated teacher, or experience working in or with schools and districts
- Experience with class management and instruction
- Experience managing volunteers, tutors, or young professionals
- Knowledge of King County partners, schools, regional initiatives, and communities
- Effective program management skills include setting goals and communicating them to stakeholders, ongoing communication with stakeholders, relationship management, meeting reporting requirements, managing time effectively, prioritizing tasks, and meeting tight program deadlines.
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and in writing.
- Comfort with technology and openness to learning new software.
- Commitment to providing all kids with equitable education opportunities.
- High level of flexibility and adaptability to meet changing work goals and demands.
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S
- Experience with diverse ethnic, socioeconomic, and other unique communities and a familiarity with how to speak about the gifts and needs of these communities.
- Ability to travel to multiple program sites and support logistical deliveries.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs and perform loading and unloading of equipment.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:
- Experience working with low-income students, included but not limited to Title 1 schools, and a familiarity with the unique gifts and needs of this population.
- Familiarity with teaching Social and Emotional Learning (SEL) in the Classroom.
- Multilingual, specifically in Spanish or Somali.
