What are the responsibilities and job description for the Tooling Technician (Injection Molding) position at STEM Search Group?
What you'll do...
- Perform mold-related services and maintenance according to scheduled timelines, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and repair injection molds, set and pull molds in and out of injection machines efficiently
- Disassemble, clean, organize, reassemble complex tooling.
- Maintain accurate records of mold-related activities and history in designated systems.
- Collaborate with maintenance and mold shop teams to address mold-related issues promptly.
- Initiate corrective actions for part containment repairs and maintain a clean work environment.
What we're looking for..
- 3 years of experience in mold troubleshooting and repair, hot runner systems, injection molding processes, and working with close tolerance components
- Working knowledge of injection molding machines, experience rigging molds
- Competency with machine shop equipment such as mills, lathes, surface grinders, welding, etc.
- Well-rounded understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, mechanical principles, blueprints/schematics
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with basic computer proficiency.
- High school diploma or technical degree in related field of study
