Software Architect HBITS
DURATION: 30 Months
LOCATION: Albany, NY – Onsite
Main Developer and Architect on the DTF DevOPS team with focus in Java Tooling.
Qualifications
- Software Architect- Makes high-level design choices and dictates technical standards, including software coding standards, tools, and platforms. Designs multi-leveled architecture or component interactions of a large scale software system.
- Expert- 84 Months: Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. Guide the architecture and design sessions and ensure technical solutions are aligned with agency’s strategic direction.
- 84 months experience with J2EE technologies including JDBC, JSP and XML.
- 84 months experience developing, building, and testing Java EE applications using modern IDE’s, such as Eclipse, Netbeans, or IntelliJ.
- 84 months experience using J2EE frameworks such as Spring or struts and Application Servers such as Tomcat, JBoss, Websphere or Weblogic.
- 84 months experience writing SQL statements for relational databases.
- 60 months experience in performance tuning applications interacting with databases.
- 60 months of experience in messaging technologies, such as MQ, JMS, Kafka.
- 84 months of experience in system analysis and design of multi-tiered transactional systems.
Day-to-Day tasks
- The candidate will be required to create/analyze the current system, document flows and gather user requirements.
- They will also be in charge of creating design documents and functional specifications.
- Will be responsible for coding, debugging, unit testing and integration testing of all user requirements adhering to standards and specifications.
- Assist with QA and User Acceptance testing.
- Will also be responsible for migrating the source code to appropriate repositories and publishing the application to different environments.
