We are seeking an experienced Construction Estimator to drive business growth, establish a high-performing sales team, and expand our market presence.

Job Description

The Marine Construction Estimator will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates for government, commercial, and residential marine construction projects. This individual will work closely with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure competitive and accurate bids that align with company goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documents to prepare detailed cost estimates.
• Research and evaluate subcontractor and supplier bids for accuracy and completeness.
• Develop accurate takeoffs and scope of work for bids.
• Prepare and submit competitive bids for government, commercial, and residential projects.
• Collaborate with project managers to ensure estimates align with project execution plans.
• Track and analyze market trends, material costs, and labor rates to ensure competitive pricing.
• Communicate with clients and stakeholders to clarify project requirements and answer bid-related questions.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating marine construction projects, including government, commercial, and residential sectors.
• Strong knowledge of marine construction techniques, materials, and equipment.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools (e.g., Bluebeam, PlanSwift).
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Familiarity with government bid processes (e.g., MyFloridaMarketPlace or SAM.gov) is a plus.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay Band for Fort Myers, Florida:

• Base Salary: $70,000–$100,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications.
• Additional Perks:
• Performance-based bonuses.
