DAY AND NIGHT SHIFT SEASONAL CHERRY WORK ONLY, APRIL - JUNE, HOURS AND DAYS WORKED MAY VARY
LOOKING FOR FORKLIFT DRIVERS WITH PREVIOUS DRIVING EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE WORKING IN A CHERRY PACKING FACILITY A PLUS.
- This is a safety sensitive position which will require a pre-employment drug / alcohol test and subject to random testing.
The basic objective of this position is to distribute fruit and supplies to the necessary areas in a safe and timely manner in order for packing lines to run efficiently. Position requires ability to remain alert for attention to detail during highly repetitive work. Person will also inspect the forklift, bin tickets and watch for miss marked bins as well as monitoring the supply of fruit and supplies to appropriate departments.
Requirements
Work area is inside except for occasional outdoor travel and inside cold temperature rooms. Area is well ventilated with moderate noise, well lit with low dust. Occasional propane and exhaust odors. Majority of work is performed in packing room and cold rooms.
Safety factors :
Hazards encountered include foot traffic, other drivers, water, weather conditions, low oxygen rooms, falling bins and objects in work area. Safety equipment required is safety glasses, seatbelt and parking brake.
This position can encompass other than the specified duties listed above. If necessary, alternative duties can be assigned at the discretion of the supervisor.
