Associate Director, Marketing Procurement-US OncologyJoin to apply for the Associate Director, Marketing Procurement-US Oncology role at Menarini StemlineThis is a hybrid position, requiring ~2 days per week in the NYC offices with some flexibility needed.This role will focus on diligently driving cost efficiency & transparency, as well as budget optimization across critical Marketing & Sales external support services, including but not limited to Creative & Media agencies, Market Data & Analytics services, Omnichannel marketing content delivery services, Speaker bureaus, field force training, Congress or event planning & coordination services, etc.You will work closely with Marketing brand teams, Commercial data & analytics teams, Market Access, Finance, and the new Commercial Procurement global category team being formed, in order to ensure timely, value-add and cost-effective delivery of services, while generating meaningful savings for the organization.ResponsibilitiesLead the Procurement sourcing & contract negotiation process supporting the US Commercial Oncology Marketing, Sales and Market Access organization.Manage sourcing, contracting, and supplier relationships for Creative & Media agencies, Market Data & Analytics services, Omnichannel marketing content delivery services, Speaker bureaus, Congress or event planning & coordination services, and other key Marketing & Sales support services.Drive cost reduction and savings initiatives through effective negotiations, supplier partnerships, and contract optimization.Partner with Marketing, Sales, Commercial Data & Analytics, and Finance teams to forecast, budget, and optimize the US Commercial group’s supplier spend.Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings, performance and value delivery improvements both within and via collaborations with existing and prospective suppliers.Educate & coach Procurement colleagues and cross-function stakeholders toward enhancing important business process capabilities for timely support of US Marketing & Sales’ evolving business needs.QualificationsRequired : Minimum 5 years of Procurement leadership & support experience over relevant Marketing, Sales and Market Access services spend within the US biopharmaceutical industry.Strong background in sourcing and contracting for Creative Agency, Media Agency, or Commercial Market Research / Data & Analytics firms, with expertise in contract budget optimization & relationship life-cycle management.Proven ability to provide comprehensive procurement support toward periodic evaluation / selection & ongoing management / governance of compelling Preferred Supplier relationships specifically.Demonstrated success in delivering savings toward optimizing Marketing & Sales budgets.Strong analytical, financial, negotiation skills.Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence sourcing and supplier management strategies across functions.Strategic thinker with the ability to identify and implement opportunities for cost-saving, value creation, and supplier performance improvement.Strong business acumen, familiarity with Pharmaceutical Marketing & Sales accounting & budgeting principles, and understanding of the US Pharmaceutical market’s evolving business needs.Preferred : Experience working within Creative Agency, Media Agency, or Commercial Market Research / Data & Analytics firms serving the Pharmaceutical industry is highly valued.Please note this position is classified as a corporate office position.
