Job Summary:
We are seeking a reliable and experienced Warehouse Driver to join our team. The Warehouse Driver will be responsible for transporting goods and materials from the warehouse to various locations. The ideal candidate will have a valid driver's license, a clean driving record, and experience operating a variety of vehicles; maintain warehouse to proper safety and cleanliness standards. Complete inventory supply audits, maintain spreadsheets and inform supervision of any material needs.
Essential Job Functions:
Inspect the levels of business supplies, material, and equipment to identify shortages.
Ensure inventory is adequate and can cover demand for special projects and from plumbing, HVAC,
electrical and septic technicians.
Develop and issue RFPs to suppliers; negotiate prices.
Is authorized to commit company funds for supplies and materials.
Create purchase orders. Place orders to replenish stock avoiding insufficiencies or excessive
surplus.
Evaluate suppliers to achieve cost-effective deals and maintain trust relationships.
Collaborate with warehouse employees and other staff to ensure business goals are met.
Report to upper management on stock levels, issues etc.
Maintain plumbing tools and equipment.
May be required to answer the phone and dispatch calls after hours.
Maintain records and files; prepare reports.
If able to drive a company vehicle, deliver parts and materials to job sites and other offices
when needed.
Working Conditions: The Warehouse Driver will spend some of their time driving and loading/unloading goods and materials, running service calls, shoveling, transporting dirt and debris, backfilling excavated sites, raking and cleaning up when needed, and all other duties assigned.
Physical Requirements: The Warehouse Driver must be able to lift heavy objects and stand for extended periods of time. They must also have good hand-eye coordination and be able to operate a variety of vehicles.
