What YOU will do :
As a Payroll Supervisor you will oversee and lead the processing of Weekly and Bi-Weekly payrolls at our Mobile Aerospace Engineering business unit. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of Payroll processes, compliance, customer service, a proactive approach to system enhancements, and the ability to teach others.
- Review and audit employee and contractor time punches; research and resolve any discrepancies or missing punches to ensure proper hours are reflected for payment (this requires advanced Excel skills such as pivot tables and v-lookups)
- Process Bi-Weekly payroll for all employees in Paylocity payroll system
- Prepare and reconcile subcontractor hours for submission weekly to contracting house for invoicing and payment
- Work with cross-functional partners to streamline processes for continuous improvement with the objective to move online instead of paper hardcopies and manual processes
- Work closely with Talent Acquisition and Development team to ensure contractor wage rates are properly documented and updated
- Ensure proper documentation and approvals are obtained prior to processing any non-standard payments
- Work closely with the finance team to ensure proper recording of payroll data for financial reporting
- Responsible for Audit requirements, for example, 401(k), Workers Compensation, Internal & External Audit for payroll related areas
- Oversee the Year-End process and the preparation / distribution of W-2s
- Good understanding of Time and Attendance system setup and time reporting; performing audits as needed
- Work closely with Headquarter Payroll team for harmonization across business units
- Perform other related duties and responsibilities as required.
