COBOL Programmers are responsible for development, programming, and coding of Information Technology solutions. You will be responsible for documenting detailed system specifications, participation in unit testing and maintenance of planned and unplanned internally developed applications, evaluation, and performance testing of purchased products. You will be responsible for including IT Controls to protect confidentiality, integrity, as well as availability of the application and data processed or output by the application.
What you need:
- Bachelor s degree
- 3-5 years of COBOL design/development experience in a Mainframe environment or equivalent
- Cobol Dev on Mainframe (JCL, COBOL, DB2)
- Experience and understanding of levels of testing, release procedures, coding design and documentation protocol as well as change management procedures
- Experience developing strong test cases Demonstrated organizational, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Ability to communicate technical information clearly and articulately
- Healthcare industry experience is a MUST
