The Enterprise Architect will be instrumental in aligning our technology strategy with our broader business objectives, serving as a key leader in our Lean-Agile transformation. Operating as a "strategic technologist," you will collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, and stakeholders across Agile Release Trains (ARTs) to define, communicate, and drive architectural vision and strategy. You will also champion continuous improvement and innovation, fostering a culture that leverages cloud-native technologies (AWS & Azure), DevOps practices, and modern architectural patterns to deliver exceptional customer value.
What You'll Do:
Architectural Vision & Strategy
- Define and maintain our enterprise architecture strategy in alignment with SAFe 6.0 principles, ensuring we have the architectural runway needed to support current and future product increments.
- Collaborate with the CTO and senior leadership to shape the technical roadmap, aligning investments with long-term business objectives. Lean-Agile Leadership
- Champion Lean-Agile and SAFe 6.0 best practices across teams, driving architecture-centric planning and execution in Program Increments (PIs).
- Act as a trusted advisor and mentor for Solution Architects, System Architects, and other technical leaders.
Technology Governance & Standards
- Establish and maintain architecture guardrails, reference architectures, and standards to ensure consistency, security, and compliance across the organization.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and innovations, providing recommendations and leading initiatives to incorporate them where beneficial.
Product Collaboration
- Work closely with Product Management to ensure that architectural considerations are seamlessly integrated into product roadmaps.
- Engage with cross-functional teams, ensuring that architecture decisions enhance the customer experience and align with strategic objectives. Continuous Improvement & Innovation
- Drive continuous exploration (CE) activities, identifying opportunities for technological innovation and quick experimentation.
- Collaborate with data scientists, security experts, and operational teams to pilot cutting-edge solutions that elevate performance and customer outcomes.
What's Needed:
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
- 10 years of progressive experience in architecture roles, with at least 5 years in an Enterprise Architect capacity.
- Extensive knowledge of SAFe (Scaled Agile Framework), particularly around the enterprise architecture function in SAFe 6.0.
- Proven experience leading architectural strategies in cloud-centric environments, specifically AWS and Azure.
Technical Proficiency
- Deep understanding of modern architectural patterns and frameworks (microservices, event-driven architecture, serverless, etc.).
- Hands-on expertise with DevOps tooling (CI/CD pipelines, containerization, orchestration, infrastructure as code).
- Solid grasp of data modeling, API management, security design, and enterprise integration strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with Product Managers, Release Train Engineers, and other Agile roles.
- Excellent communication skills, capable of translating complex technical concepts into clear business-friendly language.
- A track record of mentoring technical leaders and fostering an inclusive, innovative, and high-performing culture.
