- Full time senior level technical support experience in a complex enterprise networking environment including analytical, problem solving. (10 years)
- Experience with security and firewall administration to include data network implementation (10 years)
- Experience configuration, implementation and operation of Gigamon products. (5 years)
- Visio skills (2 years)
- Experience implementing Cloud technologies (1 years)

Responsibilities Include
- Operational support for routers, switches and firewalls for security, performance, capacity and availability of services.
- Configure and maintain secure network infrastructure in conformance with security standards and best practices. Assigned systems include enterprise networking environment with major impact on delivery of services to customers internal to state government and to the public.
- Provide network architect support in the form of infrastructure assessments of agency LANs and WANs; creation of logical and conceptual network diagrams; monitoring, analysis, problem resolution, and changes.
- Manage networks and assigned systems to prevent unauthorized access while insuring efficient transmission. Perform log management and monitoring.
- Firewall support: Plan, schedule and implement access through the firewalls in conformance with security standards and best practices.
- Adhere to defined incident/change management process.
- Regular communication with other technical teams and business owners.
- Work with customers to develop testing and implementation schedules as needed.
- Maintain technical documentation of the environment.

- Experience configuration, implementation and operation of Gigamon products. (5 years)
- Visio skills (2 years)
- Strong preference for experience implementing Cloud technologies (1 years)
- Strong preference for Unix scripting skills (e.g. Perl, Bash, TCL cURL).
- Experience with VMware implementation and administration.
