Hours and Rate
Average hours per week: approx. 25, unless other duties & projects are assigned Rate: Starting at $14.00 per hour
Schedule: Evenings Monday thorugh Friday, unless scheduled otherwise
Duties and Responsibilities
Recruitment
Program Management
Manage day-to-day operations of the program
Manage student enrollment and process new applicants
Supervise and coach staff members
Facilitate regular staff meetings
Maintain high visibility at the afterschool program site
Ensure safety and supervision of children at all times
Ensure classrooms and other shared facility spaces are well-maintained and left as found
Ensure smooth implementation of daily activities and compliance with approved program structure Ensure accurate distribution and accounting of suppers and snacks
Coordinate with other Step by Step, Inc. programs and initiatives, as appropriate
Coordinate with site-based student support services, as appropriate
Participate in all meetings, trainings, and activities organized by the Program Director
Comply with all Step by Step and host site policies and procedures
Communication and Collaboration
Develop and maintain positive relationships with principal, teachers, office staff, lunch staff, custodians, bus drivers, and afterschool program staff.
Be directly supervised by the Program Director and receive general supervision from either the principal (school-based site) or executive director (community-bas site)
Develop and maintain positive parent relations
Provide program orientation, encourage involvement, and maintain monthly contact with family members
Provide ongoing family education workshops, services and special events
Respond promptly and courteously to parent concerns and or complaints and immediately notify school administrator and program director of parent concerns and/or complaints
Communicate with parents/guardians regarding student progress and performance
Meet at least monthly with the Program Director and 21st CCLC Management Team
Work closely with Principal(s) and designee(s) to share student improvement data and align afterschool program activities with the regular school day
Attend school staff meetings regularly to provide information and updates on afterschool program
Participate in school leadership team meetings, as appropriate
Establish and maintain partnerships with community-based organizations, public agencies, local universities, city agencies, local businesses and other collaborat
Data Collection and Reporting
Maintain Database and generate reports upon request
Maintain Student enrollment, attendance and activity logs on grant based reporting system Maintain Student enrollment, attendance and activity logs on organization based reporting system Complete and maintain all food paperwork (daily sheets, monthly sheets and production records) Complete food orders, inventory and assist with putting away materials as instructed
Submit all required documentation in accordance with established guidelines and on a timely basis Submit monthly student attendance reports
Submit monthly student food reports
Conduct assessments and surveys as instructed
Coordinate evaluation process, including surveys of students, staff, parents, and partners
Qualifactions
Previous child care, preferred but not required
High School Diploma or Equivalent, Required
Models a passion for learning
Able to work late afternoons and evenings, as well as participate in occasional day-time trainings Background/Fingerprint clearance
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $14.00 - $15.00 per hour
