Environmental Safety and Health Consultant

Type of Position: Full-time (at least 40 hours per week), salaried, exempt

Job Overview:

An EHS Consultant plays a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with clients to establish and demonstrate exceptional industry and regulatory knowledge through onsite field audits, employee training and regulatory interaction. The objective of an EHS Consultant is to provide EHS management services with the goal of enhancing regulatory compliance and safe work practices.

Responsibilities & Duties:

• Effectively oversee and manage assigned ESH projects from start to finish.
• Expand company reach and client base by contacting new facilities and marketing our services to meet or exceed company goals.
• Work as a member of a team to conduct EHS audits and assessments, providing best practice risk avoidance and mitigation recommendations.
• Develop and deliver customized, site-specific safety and health training for our clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with both current and potential clients.
• Evaluate compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in an Occupational Safety & Health (OSH) related field
• At least 3-5 years of recent EHS experience in the industrial safety, environmental and/or DOT fields.
• Excellent communication and training skills with ability to deliver instruction in a classroom and applied setting.
• Self-management, time management, and people skills
• Detail-oriented with a high level of organization
• Willingness to travel

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with hazardous materials compliance
• Additional certifications in the ESH field are encouraged
• Ability to interface with clients to improve and implement their ESH programs and to suggest new services.
• Ability to apply new technologies to our services creating a more effective presentation.
• Sales/marketing background a plus

Pay: $50,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
