Job Description
Stepan Company located in Wilmington, NC is seeking an E&I Technician. The successful candidate comes with prior E&I experience preferrable in utilities operations and chemical manufacturing. Normal work schedule is Monday through Thursday 10hr shift. E&I Technician creates value by safely maintaining the utilities and manufacturing equipment to meet production goals and by taking initiative to expand knowledge in the different types of control systems. The E&I Technician provides operation support plant-wide and performs electrical maintenance on the industrial manufacturing equipment which could include, but not limited to: AC/DC motor controls, process loop instruments, PLCs, MCCs and switch gear. The maintenance craft work is highly independent and requires a self-starter.

Qualifications
- Experience working with PLC software used to troubleshoot and maintain equipment (i.e. Allen Bradley, RSLogix, Siemens and Mitsubishi PLC and VFD drives software)
- Basic Knowledge of Networks protocols (i.e. Profibus, Ethernet IP, Profinet, OPC)
- Emerson DeltaV DCS controller maintenance experience
- Experience troubleshooting / applying electrical & mechanical skills for minor repairs on process equipment
- Experience in industrial utilities or chemical manufacturing
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum: one of the following:
- A minimum of three years of experience in electrical or instrumentation role at an industrial facility, or related military field or;
- 2-year associate degree or higher in a related electrical or instrumentation field (copy of degree required), or;
- Journeyman level certification or certificate of completion as a certified electrician
- Instrument calibration experience
