The primary responsibility of the Instrument/Electrical Technician (Electrician) is to provide support for the maintenance of plant instrument and electrical equipment. This position is located in Pasadena, Texas.

The primary responsibility of the Instrument/Electrical Technician (Electrician) is to provide support for the maintenance of plant instrument and electrical equipment. This position is located in Pasadena, Texas.
Responsibilities Include
- Perform the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, calibration, and repair of instruments (pressure, temperature, flow control valve positioners) and electrical equipment (motors).
- Effectively use typical test and calibration equipment including pneumatic calibrators, RTD calibrators, digital and analog multi-meters, meggers, communicators, and laptops for equipment communication.
- Perform basic Motor Control Center system repairs and upgrades of in-service and test equipment.
- Assist in the development and update of routine and Preventive/Predictive Maintenance (PM/PdM) tasks for new and existing equipment.
- Install, inspect, and maintain electrical components, such as circuit breakers, electrical panels, wiring, controls, and lighting systems.
- Perform three phase motor terminations (high and low voltage), basic power checks, and troubleshooting of Process Logic Controllers and Uninterruptible Power Supply Systems.
- Familiar with maintenance of electrical systems and tasks tracked in Computerized Maintenance Management software.
- Maintain and update relevant documentation and drawings in equipment files.
- 7- 10 years experience as an Instrument/Electrical Technician or Journeyman Electrician.
- Experience with use of hand and power tools, feeler gauges, dial indicators, and ammeters.
- Knowledge of instrument/electrical equipment best practices, standards, and codes.
- Knowledge of NFPA 70 is a plus.
- Ability to analyze, problem solve, and think strategically to solve equipment issues and determine root cause failures.
- Familiarity with Chemical processing industry equipment is preferred.
