Description
Purpose of Classification:
The purpose of this classification is perform daily housekeeping duties at Step Forward agency facilities and to perform landscaping, minor maintenance, special event set-up and cleaning.
Essential Functions:
The following duties are normal for this position. The omission of specific statements of the duties does not exclude them from the classification if the work is similar, related, or a logical assignment for this classification. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Performs daily housekeeping duties such as sweeping and mopping the floors, scrubbing, dusting, disinfecting and emptying of trash; cleans and disinfects restrooms and restocks supplies as needed; vacuums and shampoos carpet and moves furniture and supplies.
Mows lawns, trims shrubs, removes snow and salts sidewalks and driveways to keep grounds attractive and safe.
Reports and repairs minor damage to property or equipment per instructions from supervisor: paints structures, performs light carpentry, plumbing and electrical work.
Attends meetings, conferences, workshops and other trainings for professional development and to keep current and up to date with policies and procedures.
Additional Functions:
Performs other related duties as required.
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED required; supplemented by one year of experience in a clerical or child care taking position preferably in an educational environment; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience which provides the requisite knowledge, skills, and abilities for this job.
Additional Requirements/Conditions of Employment:
Successful results of pre and continued employment assessments including fingerprinting, drug testing, medical examinations and background check(s).
