This is a service position responsible for assisting in the maintenance and beautification of SFA grounds. Performs routine repetitive work in the performance of various physically demanding tasks. Works under close supervision, with minimal latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Reports to the Grounds Foreperson.
Essential Job Functions
1. Cut weeds and brush with string trimmer; uses power mower to cut grass.
2. Rakes lawns.
3. Trims trees and shrubs.
4. Waters and fertilizes plants and lawns.
5. Performs various outdoor yard maintenance tasks.
6. Loads and unloads trucks.
7. Moves furniture, office equipment, refuse, garbage, and heavy supplies and equipment.
8. Picks up litter on university campus and at off-campus facilities.
Non-Essential Job Functions
