Busy Optometry practice in Charlottesville seeking a lively and personable full-time employee to start immediately! Position is entry level Optometry Technician/ Administrative Assistant. Applicant must have excellent customer service skills. Hours for the position are daytime, with some Saturday's required. No experience necessary.
Duties include:
-Answering multiple phone lines
-In office reception for patient check in & out
-Operate optometric machinery to perform preliminary patient testing
-Scheduling and referring appointments for multiple Optometrists
-Instruction of insertion/removal of contact lenses
-Inventory, ordering, and stocking of contact lenses
-Insurance verification and billing
-Administrative duties managing patient charts
Experience Required:
-High School Diploma or Equivalent
-3 years employment experience
-Customer service skills
-Proficient use of computers including email, Microsoft Office, and typing
-Experience with record keeping of confidential materials is preferred
Compensation varies by experience. Background check and drug screening are mandatory. Additional training provided for those who qualify.
