Position of JROTC AI for 25/26 School Year
QUALIFICATIONS:
Retired NCO with honorable service preferred rank of Sergeant or higher.
- Eligible for a Georgia permit in JROTC - Army.
- Strong background in leadership, training, and mentorship.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with school staff, students, and community members.
- Familiarity with JROTC regulations and curriculum
Essential Responsibilities:
- Teach classes on military customs, leadership principles, drill and ceremony, and physical fitness.
- Oversee cadet training exercises, such as team-building activities, field exercises, and competitions. Provide mentorship to cadets, encouraging academic success and character development.
- Serve as a role model and mentor for cadets, demonstrating military discipline and professionalism.
- Assist in managing cadet-led activities, including community service projects, parades, and special events.
- Supervise the day-to-day operations of the JROTC program, ensuring cadets adhere to rules and regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of cadet participation, performance, and progression within the program.
- Assist in preparing reports and maintaining the inventory of program equipment and uniforms.
- Support the Senior Army Instructor (SAI) in administrative tasks as required.
- Assist in planning and executing events, such as leadership camps, award ceremonies, and competitions.
- Work with school administrators and local organizations to promote the program and foster community involvement.
- Enforce program standards, including proper wear of the uniform, appearance, and conduct.
- Address cadet disciplinary issues with fairness and adherence to program guidelines.
