Immediate need for temporary and perm (can go temp-to-perm) Biomedical Equipment Technicians (BMETs) Level II or III to provides preventive maintenance, and repair services in a hospital environment. Assignments will last 4 months or longer. Temp-to-perm is a possibility for the right BMET.
What You Will Do in This Role
Provides maintenance, calibration, and repair service on a variety of medical devices.
Completes all paperwork and computer data entry accurately and promptly to ensure complete documentation for billing and required regulatory compliance.
Communicates with clinical staff on the topics of equipment features, functionality, etc.
Some travel in the assignment area may be needed.
Requirements
Associates degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology. Alternative qualifications include : Equivalent military training, Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET), or Certified Associate in Biomedical Technology (CABT) with a minimum of three to five (3-5) years of BMET experience.
Must hold a current, valid, and unrestricted US driver’s license. Must have a safe driving record .
Basic computer skills; understanding of computer networks and equipment interfacing.
Willing to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as well as emergency off-hours IF required to support a 24 / 7 schedule.
Willing to travel and remain on assignment 6 weeks to 3 months or longer.
Able to lift and / or push up to 75 pounds.
Able to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
Be able to frequently bend, stoop, twist, climb, crouch / squat, kneel / crawl, sit, and stand for long periods of time.
The ideal candidate should have :
a minimum of 3-5 years of experience repairing, maintaining and calibrating medical devices independently;
experience in a hospital or healthcare setting;
the ability to make decisions regarding troubleshooting and repairing medical devices;
excellent communication, customer service and time management skills;
Applicants are subject to complete background search, motor vehicle records check, and drug screening before hire.
Applicants must provide immunization information to include COVID. All (healthcare) BMET assignments require up-to-date immunizations, to include COVID.
Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without Visa sponsorship.
