Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and safety-conscious Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at Stephens Landscaping Professionals.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating commercial vehicles and equipment, including dump trucks and flatbeds, to transport materials and supplies to various job sites. They will conduct regular vehicle inspections, adhere to strict safety regulations, and maintain accurate logs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Material Management:
- Maintain and organize bulk materials storage areas to ensure efficient material allocation.
- Coordinate timely loading and replenishment of materials for field crews throughout the day.
- Allocate materials to applicable jobs using our Aspire system.
- Monitor inventory levels and restock materials as needed or assigned.
- Material/Equipment Delivery & Hauling:
- Safely operate commercial vehicles and equipment to pick up, haul, and deliver materials to bulk storage areas, storage facilities, and client job sites.
- Mobilize heavy equipment to and from job sites as required.
- Vehicle & Equipment Safety:
- Perform daily safety checks and required inspections on vehicles and equipment.
- Report any issues or concerns to fleet mechanics for maintenance or repair.
- Planning & Coordination:
- Collaborate with Project Managers and Sitework teams to develop daily/weekly plans for material and equipment mobilization needs.
- Communicate professionally with materials vendors and contractors as needed.
- Seasonal Snow Removal:
- Assist with snow removal duties during winter months as necessary.
- All Other Duties as Assigned.
Requirements:
- Skilled in operating large trucks and small/large construction equipment safely.
- Self-motivated and detail-oriented, with strong organizational skills.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
- A valid driver's license, DOT Medical Certification, and CDL-A License.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs or more, stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
Working Schedule:
- Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM (Weekends and extended hours as needed)
Compensation Details:
$24.5-29 hourly wage
Salary : $25 - $29
