Description :
Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland, D.C., and Virginia, providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, paving, road building and road maintenance equipment, has an immediate need for Construction Equipment Sales Manager in our Mid-Atlantic Region . This role will have an office at one of the following branches, but will be expected to regularly visit each : Hagerstown, MD; Baltimore, MD; Manassas Park, VA.
Key responsibilities :
- Sales strategy & execution – develop and implement sales plans to achieve revenue, profit and market share targets.
- Customer relationship management – build and maintain strong relationships with key customers.
- Team leadership and development – recruit, train, and coach sales reps to maximize performance on retail and market share objectives for JCB, LeeBoy, Dynapac, Tiger Mowers, Falcon, and Cimline.
- Pipeline management – manage CRM data, track sales activity
Other duties include, but are not limited to :
Services existing accounts, obtains orders, submits orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily.Coordinate rental preparations with rental team to ensure a smooth delivery.Maintain technical and professional knowledge by attending educational seminars, networking, reviewing industry literature and participating in industry organizations.Forecast sales and provide historical data by maintaining records on sales and locations.Focus sales efforts on potential volume dealers and existing customersRecommend changes in processes, products and services to the management team.Travel within the assigned territory visiting customers at their locations and demoing equipment.Resolve customer complaints by investigating and recommending solutions for management review.Run sales reports on a weekly and monthly basis keeping management informed on progress.Creates sales presentations using current industry literature and current product information.Update and expand the existing Construction Equipment sales database.Meet sales goals and targets.Requirements :
The best fit to our team will have :
5 to 7 years of sales experience with 2 to 3 years of sales management experience.Higher education in technical field or extensive work experience in technical field; or one to two years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Most work is performed in a garage environment with moderate to loud noise levels. Temperatures vary from season to season. Job requires extended periods of standing, stooping, kneeling, or crouching depending on the machine that needs maintenance within the 8-10 hour work day. Technicians need the ability to lift at least 50lbs with an occasional lift of up to 100lbs with assistance of a Construction Equipment.Total Compensation Includes :
