Job Title : Parts Counter Sales Representative
FLSA Status : Full-Time / Non-Exempt
Location : Middle River, MD
Reports To : Branch Manager
Purpose :
Ensure SEI customers get the correct part, at the right price, and in a timely manner. To provide the highest level of customer service and professionalism to all customers.
Essential Functions :
- Placing and receiving orders from customers and SEI service department
- Fill out customer and technician worksheets to ensure the highest possibility for accuracy
- Understand customers’ needs to help achieve desired results
- Answer phone calls as they come in
- Review Livelink reports for machines needing service
- Manage Livelink renewal sales
- Document pertinent information to direct the customer to the correct person
- Follow calls and inquiries to completion
- Processing miscellaneous purchase orders
- Processing Service job purchase orders
- Place parts in their location
- Provide updates to the service coordinator and job technician on parts arrivals
- Receive and check in PO’s
- Transfer / shipping out orders from the warehouse
- Loading and unloading of freight when needed
- Conduct cycle counts, bin location changes, bin removal and organizing inventory to maximize space
- Processing and mailing out parts invoices
- Scan worksheets, invoices etc. into the computer system
- Look up parts using manufacture sites and a parts book
- Process cash and credit card payments along with returns
Position Core Competencies :
Requirements : Education :
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills :
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills :
Basic Skills : Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.
Reasoning Skills :
Intermediate Skills : Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Physical and Work Environment :
Office environment with moderate noise; computers, printers, and customer traffic. Work requires a combination of sitting, using hands to finger, handle, or feel, as well as standing and walking to retrieve parts. Frequent lifting, up to 25lbs.
