Stephenson Equipment, Inc (SEI), an industry leader in Pennsylvania, New York, Maryland and Northern Virginia providing sales, rentals, parts and service for construction equipment, cranes, and public works and infrastructure has an immediate need for a Product Support Sales Representative in support of our Mid-Atlantic (Hagerstown, MD; Baltimore, MD; Manassas Park, VA) locations. The Product Support Sales Representative is responsible for ensuring the sales of parts, service, and equipment rental related products as well as developing aftermarket sales penetration and overall parts and service market share growth for SEI, with a particular focus on National Accounts (Sunbelt, United, and Herc).
Essential Functions:
- Achieve parts and service sales targets; monthly, quarterly, annually
- Increase parts and service sales throughout SEI’s existing market
- Develop and achieve measurable service agreement program participation.
- Customer driven advocate with a high sense of urgency for the needed solution.
- Grow the attachment Sales and Rental Revenue, developing measurable results.
- Achieve Rental Equipment revenue through service repair business support.
- Coordinate the sale of extended warranties as well as preventive maintenance contracts for construction equipment.
- Maximize SEI’s visibility throughout the market, specifically focusing on National Accounts relationships.
- Develop relationships and work closely with all SEI branch service departments to understand labor capability, availability and common needs.
- Work with marketing for SEI parts and service products campaigns.
- Create a Key Accounts portfolio - Ensure parts/service sales coverage, customer satisfaction, and sales target achievement
- Utilize the available manufacturer tools (ex: JCB Live Link & Machine Safety Checklist) to clarify & document sales opportunities, to include lost opportunity documentation
- Develop, set criteria and produce active feedback for a customer survey process. (Net Promoter Score type measurable scoring system)
- Field based sales calls daily within the 3 store territory.

The best fit for our team will have:
- Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or six months to one year related construction equipment experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
