Associate Litigation Attorney

We are looking to expand our litigation team with an Associate Litigation Attorney who will be a vital part of our growing practice. The ideal candidate will be passionate, motivated, and eager to develop their legal career in a collaborative and dynamic setting. Job Responsibilities:

• Independently manage a significant litigation caseload, from investigation to trial.
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and discovery.
• Conduct discovery, including depositions and written discovery.
• Prepare for and participate in trial practice, including trial preparation, research, and presenting cases in court.
• Represent clients at mediations, binding arbitrations, and other dispute resolution forums.
• Regularly appear in court for motions and hearings.
• Communicate regularly with clients, providing status updates and managing client expectations.
• Collaborate with partners and other team members to advance litigation strategies.
• Engage in client management, building strong, lasting client relationships.

Requirements:

• Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
• Admission to the North Carolina State Bar.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively.
• Proven ability to independently manage a litigation caseload.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2-5 years of general, business, or defense civil litigation experience.
• Experience in second-chair or independent appearances in civil court.
• Experience managing a litigation caseload from inception to resolution.
• Ability to build relationships with clients and fellow legal professionals.
• Trial experience is encouraged but not required.

Employment Details:

• Job Type: Full-time
• Salary: $60,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience.
