The Opportunity

Location : Lambeth London
Commitment : Full-time
Salary : £600–£625 per week (dependent on experience and qualifications)

About the Role

This exciting position offers the chance to work in a forward-thinking school that champions therapeutic approaches to education. As an Art & Music Therapist, you’ll join a team dedicated to creating a supportive space where children can explore their creativity, overcome challenges, and thrive emotionally and academically.

You will :

Deliver engaging one-to-one and group therapy sessions using art and music as transformative tools for self-expression and healing.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create personalised therapeutic plans tailored to each child’s unique needs.

Facilitate workshops and training sessions for staff and families to embed therapeutic practices across the school community.

Offer immediate, in-the-moment therapeutic support to children, fostering a culture of emotional safety and understanding.

Play an integral role in creating a vibrant, inclusive environment where creativity and emotional well-being are celebrated.

We’re Looking For :

Outstanding creativity and a passion for using the arts to support emotional and mental well-being.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to connect with children, families, and colleagues.

A reflective mindset and a drive to continually grow and develop professionally.

Resilience, adaptability, and an ability to work with children presenting challenging behaviours and complex SEMH needs.

A strong understanding of child development, trauma, and the impact of adverse childhood experiences (ACEs).
